South Burlington Land Trust (SBLT) collects user data to communicate with our members, process payments and improve our website. We use cookies that are necessary for site functionality. Analytics and performance cookies are disabled on this site. Our website provider is Squarespace.com and all site data, including personal user data is stored on Squarespace systems. Our payment providers are Stripe.com and Paypal.com and they collect payment data which includes personal information. We do not share user data with any other third parties.

You may provide Personal Information directly to SBLT through purchasing memberships, making donations, participating in surveys, during events, completing online forms, or requesting information. Some of this is information that you provide directly to us, other information is collected passively. 

Information You Provide Directly To Us

When you make a purchase or enter data into a form on this site we may ask you to provide some or all of the following types of information:

  • Donations. When you make a donations to SBLT, you must provide us with Personal Information, such as your name, email address, address that are associated with your debit/credit card. Please note that we do not store credit/debit card numbers.

  • Memberships. When you purchase a membership to SBLT, you must provide us with Personal Information, such as your name, email address, address that are associated with your debit/credit card. We may use email, phone number and mailing address to communicate with our members. Please note that we do not store credit/debit card numbers.

  • Communications with Us. We may also collect Personal Information from you such as email address, phone number or mailing address when you choose to request information about SBLT. We will not send communications without your consent.

  • Posting to the Site. We collect information you post through the Site. For example, if you fill out a contact form, the Site will collect the information you provide, including any Personal Information. If you choose to submit content to any public area of the Site, such content will be considered “public” and will not be subject to the privacy protections set forth herein.

Users have the option of donating or making purchases on this site using Paypal and as such. If you choose to use this service, Paypal will collect personal information from you to complete the purchase. Read the Paypal privacy policy.

Email Communications

If you subscribe to our mailing list or make a donation, we may send you email communications, which you can unsubscribe from by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. Your contact information is stored with Squarespace, our email marketing provider, so they can send these emails on our behalf.

Donation Emails

We may email you with messages about your membership or account activity. For example, we may email you to tell you that:

  • You’ve created a Membership Account

  • Your Membership Account password has been reset or updated

  • You’ve made a donation

It’s not possible to unsubscribe from these messages.

We share your contact information with Squarespace, our website hosting provider, so they can send these emails to you on our behalf.

Memberships and Donations

When you become a member or make a donation through this website, we collect personal information from you to fulfill the order. We share this information with Squarespace, our hosting provider and our payment processors, so that they can provide website services to us. As you go through checkout, this site may auto-complete your shipping and billing address by sharing what you type with the Google Places API and returning suggestions to you to improve your checkout experience.
