Resident’s Donation of 40 Acres Largest in City’s History

South Burlington resident Sarah Dopp recently donated conservation protection on her own land in the southeast quadrant, adding it to previously conserved and public land.

South Burlington City Council Chair Helen Riehle said, “We are thrilled and honored with Sarah Dopp’s gift of a permanent conservation easement across 40 acres of land in our community. Her contribution is the largest gift of a conservation easement in the City’s history and is a key piece of land in a much larger, multi-community effort. The City is proud to have participated in the closing costs though its Conservation Fund.”

You can read more about Sarah and her gift at the Vermont Land Trust website.
